Honoring our human experiences is one of the most important things for us to do as human beings — our inherent dignity deserves our care and respect.
The San Francisco Contemplarium is a new community institution dedicated to honoring our human journey here in San Francisco — through programming, physical offerings, capacity-building, and professional services. Made by and for San Franciscans, the SF Contemplarium serves the public across diverse backgrounds, practices, and beliefs.
Many of us yearn to honor our human journey—the experiences that make us human. Yet we are missing space for honoring our experiences, at least one that’s accessible and authentic to many of us. What if we created the space to support how we honor our human journey in San Francisco?

The best way to keep on top of upcoming events and programs.
On the Hawk Moon (January), red tail hawks overwinter in the SF Bay Area, bringing insight and clarity to the new year. The first Sunday of each month, join us for an evening of guided journaling and sharing, to the rhythm of cozy lofi beats. You'll honor your personal experiences of the past moon cycle with a series of reflection prompts and end with a simple intention ritual. More details here.
“A lovely way to spend a Sunday evening -- the jam gave me the chance to slow down and sit with the triumphs, disappointments, and transitions of a chaotic and difficult month.” —Justin

Join the Winter Ingathering of the SF Contemplarium! In an afternoon of ritual and reflection, we'll turn the season together — closing out the Season on Origins (Nov–Jan) by claiming our agency amidst the causes and conditions in which we are embedded, and launching into the Season on Becoming (Feb–Apr) in which we harness that agency to live into the person we want to become. More details will be added here.
